"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness."
"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
-1 Corinthians 10:31
Worship is the very core of what the church is all about. As those who have been created in the image of God, we recognize that all of creation—including our own lives —exist to display the surpassing power, beauty, and majesty of God in all things. And since we have been rescued from eternal judgment through the all-sufficient life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our aim in everything we do is to delight in God by recognizing his sovereign nature and perfect grace displayed in Jesus Christ.
Franconia Baptist is a family of Christ-followers with worship as our central goal in everything. We worship by regularly gathering together to sing songs of praise, read and hear the Scriptures, give sacrificially, and pray prayers that are focused on the glory of God in Christ. An important goal of our gathered worship is to equip and encourage Christians to embrace a lifestyle characterized by worship—which is evident in gospel-rooted joy, love, and obedience to God.
We also worship by seeking to live radically God-centered lives—in our families, in our workplaces, in our communities, in our suffering, in our celebration. In every aspect of life, our goal is to treasure Christ and to help others treasure him as well.
