Oftentimes on television we hear from those who would have us believe that a relationship with Jesus means continual blessings and worldly prosperity for the believer.  However, the truth is that sometimes God's plans for us take us in unexpected directions and through difficult circumstances. 

Today's story about the re-uniting of Joseph with his family reminds us that God's plans for us will eventually lead us to peace and the fullfillment of His will, even if those plans may take us through difficult trials.
