Unity in the Church

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:11–1:17

By now, many of us are aware that there are different denominations of people who refer to themselves as Christians.  These different denominations arise for several different reasons.  Sometimes, the divisions arise because of genuine, substantive issues that may affect someone's salvation.  However, other times divisions come about because of differences in tastes, style preferences or, worse yet, personal squabbles.  This lesson from Corinthians reminds us that we, as Christians, should strive for unity in the Body that we might glorify God and magnify the name of Jesus.
