Cultural choices, like all choices, have consequences. The Jewish culture decried Jesus' claim as the Son of God and they demanded His death. Pilate, the Roman govenor of Judea at the time, was blinded by the demands of the Jews, even when presented with the Truth, and allowed Jesus to be put to death.
